Links to resources on the web

The links on the right are to a cross section of resources, directories and organisations that further communications.

Some, such as Index on Censorship (where I worked as a volunteer for some time) and the EFA, are voluntary bodies doing important work to ensure we keep the freedom to communicate.

Others, such as the Guardian's Comment is Free series, are good forums where lively debate is carried on.

Others again , such as Creative Commons, the Free Software Foundation, and the STC are dedicated to defending the rights of communicators and knowledge creators and distributors, and to ensuring a robust and up-to-date legal framework for intellectual property and freedom of speech issues.

Finally, there are sites designed to equip the web-user with the tools and the knowledge to produce (W3Schools), locate (technorati) access (Spread Firefox), and create(Blogger.com) information designed for the web.
